In my eyes there is nothing more tasty then food I have grown! I look forward to our growing season every year and cant wait to sink my teeth into a yummy homegrown tomato!

In this group on the community, I would love to share pictures, tips, tricks and how to better work our gardens. I am always looking for an easier way to do things and I love organic gardening.

So I welcome you all to chime in wherever you want and ask questions too, as this will help us all have more yummies on the table come harvest time!

Namaste & Happy Gardening!

I just came home from a bike ride passed commercial celery fields. Ever smell fresh celery before its picked? Crisp, clean, and makes you wish you had a jar of peanut butter and a knife handy.

Happy to be in this group! I hope to start a garden spot soon. I live in an apartment, so it will take some doing but i have done it before years ago. Have a great day!

I love gardening! So happy to see this group. I love composting, too. Our rainy season is starting soon in Pacific Northwest but we can still grow hardy greens in winter. This year my organic garden did so much better. I believe it had a lot to do with my spiritual growth (^_^). I send Reiki to my plants a lot and talk to them a lot! A month ago our cucumber plants looked like the end of the season so I told them "I'd love to have some more cucumbers, please" then sent Reiki and green light and they put more flowers within a week! I started to give Reiki and gratitude when I harvest. I feel more connected to my garden than ever this year.

I gave Reiki to my seeds before I planted last spring and WOW! Abundance of veggies, except for my tomatoes. They fell victim to the blight this year with the exception of one volunteer in my Reiki garden. I tried growing the tomatoes in hanging buckets to save space in my garden and they did not do well at all. Got my fall crop in and lettuce and collards doing well. Love "playing" in the great organic dirt and the veggies taste so good!

You never cease to amaze me with coming up with something Ive never heard of... I wonder what permaculture is?
dani damman Comment by dani damman on September 30, 2009 at 8:35pm
Gardening is one of my favorite things to do. Watching things grow still amazes me every single day :)

I'm in Michigan, so our gardening season is coming to an end right now. Over this autumn and winter I planning on doing an independent study on permaculture which I find totally fascinating!

I'm excited to hopefully be helpful in getting this group active :)
